Education is a human right and a quality education is the best gateway to opportunity and provides greater possibilities for students to achieve their full potential. Schools are the hub of the neighborhood with the primary function of supporting local children and families. As part of our FlavourFest giveback initiatives we've connected much needed resources and opportunities directly to children and families where it will make the greatest impact by sponsoring students with new backpacks filled with school supplies. Teachers report these supplies help improve student preparedness, confidence, and class participation.
KIDS IN NEED - COMPUTER PROGRAMMING
We want to ensure that kids have access to the creative, fast-paced world of machines that we currently live in and get a leg up in society. Computer programming skills can apply to so many different industries and disciplines and is an effective way for children to learn creativity, collaboration, generosity, and open-mindedness. Through our community outreach efforts, FlavourFest along with our non-profit partner Color de Cambio have been working exclusively with students in the Comuna 13 neighborhood of Medellin to introduce underprivileged children to basic programming skills.
